We Say Hello to SayNow

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

In order to more effectively stay in touch with you we have switched our text message update system to SayNow. We will probably post with both Broadtexter and SayNow for a month or so, but after that we will be all switched over to SayNow. What does this mean for you guys? Well, SayNow is more feature rich. It will allow us to send out Voice messages, allow us to receive voice messages, and it handles pictures better.

Join us to receive our broadcasts and stay in the loop. Text sevencarpileup to 729669. We typically only text show updates regionally so you wont receive a text when we’re playing in California if you live in Arizona.

If you’re not ready for the technological revolution, we understand. We also still have an e-mail list. To join our e-mail list simply email info@7carpileup.com.

You’re also welcome to subscribe to our RSS feed to this blog. We will be updating this blog a lot while we’re in the studio with Bob Hoag at the end of the month.

As well, they’re is still MySpace and Facebook.

New Year, New Things

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Hi,

We updated our web page. There is more music in the player, the backgrounds is different; however, the general feel of the site is the same; new skin on the same skeleton.

There will be more news soon. It will be good news, and if the good news doesn’t surface than it doesn’t really matter does it.

Blessings,
7

Year in Review: 8 was good for 7

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Hello everybody,

2008 has been a good year, and we’re looking forward to 2009 with great expectancy.

This year we released our eponymous debut album; a 12 song collection of songs recorded at the same house we lived in. It came together brilliantly. It’s been a fantastic tool for getting the word out about us, and we’ve been able to sell at least one at every show we’ve played since it’s been released.

We had an amazing CD release show at the Modified; diligently well documented with photos by Jeremiah Scheffer. It was quite amazing to see the Modified full of Seven Car Pileup fans.

We played some great shows at some new favorite places (Phase 54, Last Exit, Desert Ridge Marketplace). As well, we were able to rock out the Glendale Glitters block party and Cheba Hut’s 420 party.

We met some awesome new people from some great bands (Talk Fiction, Peppermint James, Kinch, Juicy Newt, Flux Manifesto)

Last but certainly not least, we joined ranks with our new best friend and manager Alisha Forrester Scott. Not only is she a sweetheart and a true friend, she’s helped us in ways not imaginable without her. We truly appreciate her assistance thus far.

We’re sure 2009 will bring even more fun. We’re planning to record and release a few new songs, play many more shows, and much much more.

See you next year,

Jess Mark & Mike

Amazon is my personal favorite because I like their DRM free MP3 format.

We hope to see you at the CD release show tonight.

Shop

Monday, October 13th, 2008

We officially have a bank account, I know, not very punk-rock, certainly not brutal; however, the world of finance does shed some happy hippie vibes our way as we will very soon be able to shirk the man and offer up our product direct to our lovely loyal fans at a price point and method that we believe in.

It will take a bit of time for us to connect all our merchant services together, but sometime between Wednesday and next Monday our web store will be ready.

Our debut album has only been out on the streets for a little over a week now, and it’s already received many positive raves from the very people it was made for… you, our fans.

For just $7 you can download the digital album (all 12 songs) complete with PDF album art. As well each MP3 (or FLAC) has its own custom art-work image embedded in it, so the listening experience can be enhanced by each song’s representative artwork.  Also for a limited time, the download comes with a special extra song, our cover of the Smashing Pumpkin’s Muzzle.

Also, for just $10 you can get a copy of the 6-panel digipack CD version of the album, and the digital version as well, special artwork and all.

It really is a screaming deal, and I’m not sure how long we’ll be able to offer it at this price point. However, we wanted to reward those who have supported us this early on.

Love,

Mark
